About Greg Larson
Larsonography is the photographic and representational work of Greg Larson. Playing on fleeting moments of light and always evoking a profound sense of place, his photographs explore subject and environment in search of an essential, abstract, mythical statement. Often these images are void of people, but the handprint of the last person in the room is always there as though someone had just exited, but upon leaving, left the door open, the light on, and something smoking. Often quirky and sometimes subtly humorous, Larson's pictures are meticulously crafted with a fastidious attention to detail to create an image of transcendent curiosity and beauty.
Greg Larson has a degree in Art and Photography from the University of California, Santa Cruz and has studied at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has lived in many places in the US, Europe, and Asia, and continues to travel extensively.
